Junior Videographer & Editor

Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Salary: R11,000 per month (Non-Negotiable)
Position Type: Full-Time Retainer

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Junior Videographer & Editor to join our growing media team.

This role is ideal for someone who loves content creation, social media, cinematography, editing, and storytelling. You will work directly alongside a business owner and content creator, capturing lifestyle, fitness, business, fashion, and behind-the-scenes content for multiple brands and projects.

Work Schedule

Shooting Period

  • Approximately 2 weeks per month on-site

  • Monday to Friday

  • Approximately 6 hours per day

  • Shoots may take place during the day or evening depending on content requirements

Editing Period

  • Approximately 2 weeks per month

  • Work remotely from home

  • Edit and organize content captured during the shooting period

  • Deliver finished reels, videos, and photos according to project requirements

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality video content using company equipment

  • Assist with setting up cameras, audio equipment, and lighting when required

  • Shoot lifestyle, business, fitness, and social media content (long and short-form).

  • Edit short/long-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube

  • Organize footage and maintain structured file management

  • Apply basic and or cinematic colour correction and audio cleanup

  • Export content in multiple formats for social media platforms

  • Assist with content planning and shot execution

Requirements

  • Experience with video production and editing

  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software

  • Understanding of social media content and current trends

  • Reliable transportation is advantageous

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Professional attitude and willingness to learn

  • Ability to work independently during editing periods

Equipment

All camera equipment will be provided by the company.

Experience with Sony cameras, particularly the Sony FX30, FX3, is advantageous but not required.
